If You have never heard of TLC for Kids…
TLC for kids is a registered Australian charity and deductable gift recipient (DGR), working with healthcare professionals to deliver the nation’s fastest, most tailored support to children and their families in hospitals.
TLC for kids programs provide support to children attending hospitals as in-patients and out-patients and in a variety of settings in hospitals and clinics eg. Pathology, X-ray Depts. There is often a lot of stress for children associated with these visits. The RAPID TLC program provides a response, which has been based on the high number of admissions and children attending hospitals, the lack of resources for children, the lack of other suitable services that address needs and the urgency of response when the need is time dependent.
TLC for kids provides non-discriminatory services that are not being met by any other program or source. We assist any child, with any health related condition (including injury from accidents), which means no deserving child is overlooked. The programs are ongoing and scalable, in that it has the capacity to expand to other geographic localities in the future.
Their aim is to continuously expand, develop and make available valuable free services for sick children and their families, both in and out of hospitals, and health care organisations working with children and young people around Australia. They will continue to provide opportunities for partnerships and relationships with like-minded organisations and individuals, which will in turn have a direct impact on the lives of those in need within our community.
